Examples of descriminations and inequality by Israeli government towards Palestinians in West Bank;
1. They earned half of what Israelis earned for a comparable job
2. They had to pay higher taxes
3. Even after paying higher taxes, Palestinians did not benefit from the same level of medical or social services afforded to Israelis
4. Palestinians suffered daily harrassments and arrests, usually without any reason
5. Beating of Palestinians became routine
6. Daily document and body searches accompanied by verbal and physical abuse took place
7. Thousands of Palestinians were arrested and detained for weeks and months without trial
8. Most of houses in refugee camps had no running water and open sewers coursed through the streets
9. Palestinians need permits to travel, open businesses, construct houses which Israelis in most cases do not grant
10. Illegal jewish settlers in the West Bank kept increasing: 35,000 in 1984 to 200,000 in 2003
11. Between 1967 - 1987; 535,000 Palestinians were arrested by the Israelis
but still some people claim that Israel is a democratic country. In fact, for Israel, democratic is only for the masters.
